  1. The author is skeleton man a use foreshadowing to make suspense by showing what is going to happen. “Then, after that moment of hearing stopping silence, there is the familiar sound. Snick. As he locks my door from the outside.” This is showing that the author ends chapters with you wondering what might happen. He leaves readers with a sense of wonder; giving them something to think about when they are done reading. For example, after I read that, I was wondering “Well why does he lock her up at night? Is he afraid she is going to run away?” The suspenseful foreshadowing leaves me thinking. Another example is her dreams. All of the dreams she has is giving us hints about what is going to happen or what might happen later in the book. It is as if her dreams and clues. They are foreshadowing what might happen.

  2. In chapter 7 she has another dream and she appears in a Mohawk India tribe wear and the rabbit tells her that she is in big trouble. She is also told that her parents were buried but not dead which gives her a chance to still find them. When her dream ends she says that she is now in a forest and knows she couldn’t of sleepwalked out of the house and that the door must have been unlocked some how. She see’s two figures and realizes she is back in her dream the figures were her and the rabbit, the girl has a scar under her cheek then she blinks but everything changes and now she is in the Mohawk dress next to the rabbit and she tells herself “This isn’t me” but the rabbit tells her its her story now. This tells you that the author uses foreshadowing to tell her and you that the is more trouble ahead for her and that she may find her parents.

  3. The author uses foreshadowing by leaving hints or clues as to what is happening or going to happen. The author used this by saying in the beginning “I’m not sure how to start the story, for one thing its still going on.” That is an example because now you know there is a problem that occurred or is still occurring. The author also said that her parents vanished and that “You may have seen me on unsolved mysteries. About the girl who was left in her house alone surviving on nothing but cornflakes and canned foods.” This is also an example because you now know that she was left home alone and her parents vanished.

  8. The way I think the author used foreshadowing in this story is he used the clues as one thing when the girl has the dreams it gives the reader a hint to as what’s going on in the story. Another way I think he used foreshadowing is he let us know what’s going on and how the girl is feeling. Also in the beginning of the story how her father used to talk about the story of the “skeleton man” it’s like it’s almost playing off and it makes me want to know what’s going to happen next in the story.

and you probably " . Which makes
that sentence true , that happened
